Let's Take a 1-Day Fantastic Canyon Rafting Visit

Presently, the whole U.S. National Park System is closed as a result of American government shutdown. As the South Edge lies within Fantastic Canyon National Park, it's closed down too. Consequently, a number of the most popular Fantastic Canyon coach trips are briefly suspended. The instructor visits which have taken the biggest beating are the tours that mind for the South Rim from Las Vegas. All advanced vehicle trips that get the same path have already been canceled for the length of the shutdown. Both trips are extremely popular.

Folks situated in Phoenix or another key AZ city (Mesa, Scottsdale, Sedona and therefore forth) won't manage to have a Grand Canyon bus visit before shutdown is over. My advice? Push to the South Rim and hop onto an air-only more info aircraft or chopper tour there. The airfield is simply away from Park's principal gates and the us government doesn't own the airspace over the Park (more on that below). Luckily, it's company as normal at Grand Canyon West, which isn't part of the National Park. The government doesn't have say-so there, and ALL excursions from Vegas.

It's merely a 2 ½-hour get from Vegas to the West Rim. Instructor visits use relaxed buses and you'll have lots to see and do once you arrive. Vegas-based travelers may take air-only or landing flights. The purely aerial versions travel around Hoover Dam and Sea Mead and then range the canyon itself. Some airline landing offers contain VIP use of the Grand Canyon Skywalk, but I choose the chopper tour that places on underneath and comes with a champagne picnic (you could also take a 'copter visit that places at the the surface of the Rim.

The top draw (by a landslide) at Fantastic Canyon West is the wonderful Skywalk - the world's biggest all-glass cantilevered bridge. My personal favorite tour, though, could be the deal that includes a fantastic chopper trip to the canyon base accompanied by smooth-water rafting down the Colorado. It's a heck of an experience, and the West Wheel is the only real part of the canyon wherever planes may travel under the level of the rim and land on the bottom. Nearly 95% of Vegas Great Canyon flights are working on the typical schedules.
